Dental Implants
Dental implants are the closest prosthetic to natural teeth, consisting of a false tooth root, the implant post, and an aesthetic crown. Dr. Weinfield can perform dental implant placement and restoration at her offices in Oak Lawn.
If you have sufficient bone tissue, good oral health and would like dental implants you will first need to undergo a simple surgical procedure. Dr. Weinfield will place several small titanium screws into the sockets of missing teeth. Because titanium is biocompatible, the dental implant post will integrate with the bone tissue to create a solid foundation, very much like a natural tooth root. Finally, an aesthetic dental crown will be placed atop each post to finish the procedure. There are many options for dental implants, including immediate load implants, mini implants for denture retention, as well as various brands of dental implants.
